All of our tutors have worked as performers and many still perform, making them able to offer first hand and up-to-date knowledge of the entertainment industry.

After leaving Drama School in 1998 Dean lived and worked in London for over ten years. During that time he gained a wealth of knowledge and experience as a professional Actor.
Dean returned to Swansea in 2006 to set up The Performance Factory Stage School. Now well-established TPF has over 200 children and is continuing to grow both in size and reputation.
As well as running The Performance Factory Dean still works as a professional actor and director.
In conjunction with this, on a daily basis Dean runs his talent agency, Dean Verbeck Personal Management. DVPM has launched itself as a fresh and dynamic young performers agency specializing in up and coming talent. Representing both children and adult actors in film, television and theatre as well as radio, modeling, commercials and voice work.

Linzi has been resident dance teacher and choreographer for The Performance Factory for the past four years and has loved every minute of it. Her experience as a performer has enabled her to teach the students at a professional level, guiding and shaping them into becoming the stars of the tomorrow. Linzi is a passionate teacher and feels privileged to be apart of such a fantastically talented school.

Acting and Drama Teacher
Training: Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama
Michael is a professional actor who trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Since graduating in 2009 he has toured the country with many different companies including but not limited to, National Theatre of Wales, Frantic Assembly, Torch Theatre Company, Surprise Performance Montreal and Taking Flight Theatre company. He has a diverse cv, working in musical theatre, contemporary theatre, Shakespeare, physical theatre and contemporary dance.
He has worked as a drama teacher since 2010, teaching hundreds of aspiring performers. Many of whom went on to secure a place at prestiges drama colleges. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience with young people and using the arts to develop their confidence and growth. He also has experience with working closely with students with profound and multiple learning difficulties and believes in the power of theatre to support and develop people in all aspects of life.
Michael has directed a number of shows in recent years and has founded his own theatre company, Luna Theatre, working with adults to produce exciting and dynamic theatre.
Matthew J Hampson
Matt is an Arranger, Orchestrator, Conductor and Musical Director from Cardiff. He trained at The Royal Military School of Music and The Royal Academy of Music with Professor Veronica Clayton.
Matts work as conductor and orchestrator has taken him across the UK and Ireland working with some of the world leading artists including – John Owen Jones, Kerry Ellis, Joe McElderry, Lorna Luft, Ruthie Henshall, Louise Dearman, Rhydian Roberts, Gareth Gates, Keith Jack, Jai McDowell, Christina Bianco, Ray Quinn, Zoe Tyler & Adam Garcia.
As an arranger, Matt has orchestrated for many leading musical theatre artists and his choral arrangements have been sung and commissioned by choirs across the UK. Matts is the principal orchestrator for Tonight from the West End, a concert series based in Scotland. He is also Jai McDowall's (Britain's Got Talent winner 2011) musical director and arranger.
As a conductor Matt has led some of the UK and Irelands leading orchestras to include – The Irish Philharmonic Orchestra, The British Sinfonietta and The Welsh Session Orchestra.
Since taking a step back from his professional work, Matt has since settled in Neath and has started working with many of the societies in the area to include- Melyn AOS, Port Talbot AOS, Briton Ferry Musical Theatre Company, Stage 8 Theatre School and The Performance Factory.
Matt also teaches music privately- covering piano, voice and GCSE / A Level music tuition.
As musical director his credits include – Little Shop of Horrors, Les Miserables, Avenue Q, Me & My Girl, Fiddler on the Roof, Gyspy, Baby The Musical, Annie, Oklahoma, Godspell, Chess the Musical, The Full Monty and The King and I. The next 8 months sees another set of great musicals with Matt as MD to include -
The Wedding Singer, Grease, Les Miserables, Annie, A Christmas Carol, Legally Blonde, Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Hairspray.
